“For all the enigma in Cheri’s work, there is a brightness and wildness paired with pathos and pulse. It’s a celebration of the feminine, but not in a stereotypical since: Cheri’s works are the manifestations of female consciousness, but as if embedded in mythology and sainthood. There are moments amongst Minerva, Joan of Arc, and their nebulous counter parts. Cheri’s ingenuity and acute intelligence renders her subjects both exquisitely and fearlessly. ”
